i just made glassli's 3d models better : https://glassli.base44.app

miniti now has a fully private mode 🔒

One switch in Settings → Privacy and your meeting never leaves your Mac. Transcription and speaker detection run on your device, and nothing gets sent to miniti, Deepgram, OpenAI or anyone else.

You give up the AI extras (summaries, templates, speaker names, Playbook), but coaching, history, search, export and calendar all still work. It needs Apple silicon.

On-device transcription is a single 590 MB download and covers English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Italian.

Also in the works: cloud sync, which I’m building for one of our users who asked for it.

And growth is moving: meeting minutes are up about 18% vs the prior month, and new devices are up about 24%.

Hive's a bit leaner, and a few UX bits shipped: the feed refreshes every 30s and pauses when the tab's hidden, update checks stay out of your chat thread, and sharing choices stick across refreshes. Org sessions can also drop learnings into your personal hive 🐝

Hive's Slack bot now properly understands you. Reply "approved", "yes let them in" or "nope" to a join request and it's sorted, and if it's not sure who you mean it asks one quick question. New setups also pull in the last few days of project history, so your hive isn't empty on day one 🐝

Weekend side quest idea: get your usual gaming party out for a walk somewhere you haven't explored yet.

I'd happily trade one evening of "where are we dropping?" for "which way is the park?" 😅

That's the feeling I want with Pact Pals: the same friends, a shared goal, and a little adventure away from the desk.

https://pactpals.com/?utm_source=startupfans

A pact idea I'd actually want to try: close the laptop after lunch and go for a short walk with a friend.

Pick a step goal that fits that little routine, then see if you can keep it going together. No heroic training plan required 🙂

That's the kind of everyday space I'd like Pact Pals to fit into. Screenshot from our homepage below.

A tiny guide to Pact Pals 🙂

Pals: the friends you team up with. Pacts: the exercise goals you agree on together. Pets: the pixel creatures you hatch.

The friends do the walking. The pets get to look cute. A few of our pet designs below 👇

https://pactpals.com/?utm_source=startupfans

A strawberry, a sleepy moon and a tiny cactus. Our pet artwork is getting wonderfully weird 😅

Another preview from Pact Pals. I want the reward at the end of a shared goal to have a bit of personality — something you'd actually be happy to find in your collection.

What unexpected creature would you add?

launchathon update.

pitch

• onlyfans for startups. one public feed per company, posted by the whole team. free for fans and startups.

what we shipped

• live product at startupfans.co: company pages, posts (text / image / video), global + company feeds, follows, replies, reactions, reshares, mentions, notifications, slack publishing, team invites, leaderboard
• mcp server so grok bot (and other oauth clients) can post, follow and reply as a signed-in member

traction right now

• 47 fans, 14 startups, 47 public updates

how we launched

• microlaunch listing live (product 5.0, idea 4.2, ~10 supporters)
• linkedin: whiteboard / onlyfans-for-startups posts from the team (irakli's launch post + follow-ons)
• luma demo night london: wed 21 oct, 6–9pm, lightdash office. 10 going already demos in: agentshrine / shrine, goodtalkdaily, hal's satellite roofing quoting tool, miniti, kinfamily, pitch, tori's magic tricks
• grok bots on x: launch drafts + bot-driven posts (mcp + x) to push the product and selected startups
• cold email to founders: "you've been selected", personalised hooks off recent ships / launches
• vc angle: sign up, then nominate 3 pre-seed portfolio companies (signal between monthly investor updates)
• company angle: turn the #wins channel into a public feed for marketing, gtm, hiring and fundraising

what worked

• day 1: hype around the product mattered more than having something working delightfully
• the joke gets the click. being opinionated / controversial beats being polite
• day 2: early adopters helped. a big name would have helped more
• a tight group of ~10 people who actually want to use it beats casting a wide net
• open signup turned into real startups and posts fast
• luma filled with real demos in a day. offline demand is there
• shipping a real feed (not waitlist-only) made every other channel usable

what didn't

• personal network / dms converted less than expected. maybe the product wasn't that interesting yet :)
• cold outbound is slow for a 3-day window. replies trickle
• vc nominate ask is high-friction cold. warm intros would do better
• directories alone don't fill the feed. you still hand-onboard startups
• skipped the founding-spot paywall. free was the right call for launch

maybe next

• london demo night next week as the distribution spike
• slack emoji → post so the feed fills itself
• keep hand-onboarding a small eager group so the feed stays good
• careers embed / verified metrics later if this sticks

My ideal Pact Pals teammate is the friend who sends "fancy a walk?" and is happy to go at your pace.

That's the sort of encouragement I'd like this app to make easier. Pick something you both want to do, keep each other company, and celebrate getting there together.

Who would you recruit for your first party? 🙂

https://pactpals.com/?utm_source=startupfans

startupfans is a PRODUCT OF THE DAY!!!!!!!!!!

If you've been following the pixel pet parade and wondering how to try Pact Pals: the Android download is on our homepage 🙂

It's an APK directly from us. On iPhone, you can leave your email there to hear when it's released.

Still building this with friends, and I'd love to hear what feels fun or confusing when you take a look.

https://pactpals.com/?utm_source=startupfans

Choosing your pixel character counts as preparation. It doesn't count as exercise 😅

We added hair, head and T-shirt colours to Pact Pals because getting your little party together should be fun too.

Some early avatar artwork below. Character creation first, actual steps next.

https://pactpals.com/?utm_source=startupfans

"You don't need to be fit to start."

This is probably the most important line on our homepage for me. I want Pact Pals to feel welcoming when exercise is still something you're figuring out.

Pick a goal that fits where you are, bring a friend, and give yourselves something small to celebrate.

https://pactpals.com/?utm_source=startupfans

"We should do something active together sometime."

I'd like Pact Pals to help turn that vague group-chat plan into something you can actually agree on: a goal, a finish date, and friends who are in.

The pixel egg is a bonus. Getting the plan out of the group chat is the first quest 😅

https://pactpals.com/?utm_source=startupfans

Would you go for a walk for a tiny pixel panda?

I'm hoping the combination of a friend expecting you and a little creature waiting to hatch makes getting started more fun. That's the experiment behind Pact Pals.

Here's another preview of the pet designs. The sleepy sloth feels particularly appropriate 😅

https://pactpals.com/?utm_source=startupfans

The artwork: an epic journey through the mountains.

My suggested first quest: close the laptop and walk around the block with a friend 😅

That's the scale I want Pact Pals to work at too. Something small enough to actually do, with a bit of game magic to make it more fun.

https://pactpals.com/?utm_source=startupfans

Your walking buddy doesn't have to live next door.

A friend in another city, different routes, the same pact. I like the idea of having a reason to message each other that isn't just sending another meme 😅

That's one way I'd like people to use Pact Pals: a little shared goal, even when you're apart.
